In order to provide a diverse experience of the vast Ugandan culture, BF runs an OVC family exchange program in which children are connected from carefully selected families from within the country in a different cultural setting. These families share common interests, values, and goals.  The children have the opportunity to discover a new culture and language with the support of a host family and our organization. Our program fully immerses children in their new lives, which creates an environment where children learn a new language in the most effective and successful way possible. Exchange visits are often linked to children within the same age bracket to enable the children spend time together to the maximum of their ability with the hope of gaining a new family. These connections often lasting impressions even into adulthood
